ALFRED RICHARD MITCHELL (American, 1888-1972) THE ARCH STONE BRIDGE. Oil on canvas winter scene shows an arched bridge over a small stream with large birches and trees covered with colorful foliage. Blue sky with purple and gray clouds. Signed lower left “Alfred R. Mitchell”. Housed in an old silver gilt molded wood frame with silver lining. Appears to have pencil title on back stretcher which we can not decipher. SIZE: 12” x 16”. CONDITION: Relined, very good with masking varnish. 9-29961 (4,000-6,000)
