ORNATE FLINTLOCK DAG BLUNDERBUSS. Cal .50. 12” part oct flared muzzle. There is a copper cartouche on top of bbl simulating a European one and a horse cartouche on each side. There is also a copper band at the breech. The lock is fully engraved. The stock is carved with vines and flowers and a very ornate animal on the bottom. There are silver wire inlays around the edges of the counterplate and lock plate, the latter with silver nails. The wire around bbl tang is missing but most of the nails remain. The buttplate and trigger guard are nicely engraved and the false ramrod has silver wire inlay with a row of decorative nails. NSN. CONDITION: Gray patina with light to moderate pitting. Stock is solid with little wear except to the wire inlay. Lock is good. 4-49025 (1,000-2,000)
