FINE SHARPS PISTOL RIFLE. Cal. 36. SN 292. 29-3/4″ rnd bbl. Standard “C. SHARPS & CO PHILADA PA” marking on the left side plate. The rear sight is a replacement, made from a wind gauge target sight. All other features are standard with matching numbers on the breechblock, inside the patchbox and upper tang, the last re-struck. CONDITION: Action retains 90% of the current casehardening. Colors are bright on the lever, slightly faded and mixed with streaking on the action. Bbl has a dull brown finish, a mixture of orig brown and patina. Silver-plating on the buttplate, patchbox, and forearm tip is bright. Action is fine. Wood has minor dents and scratches with slight flaking at the rear of the forearm. There is a professional repair at the top of the wrist. Stock has been revarnished in this area so it is difficult to see the repair. 4-56561 (6,000-10,000)
