CHINESE EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE ARMORIAL CYLINDRICAL MUG. Circa 1750. The crest having a plumed knight’s helmet with gold ground crest incorporating three birds and armadillos with fleur-de-lis. A banner motto below “dei tutamen tutus” (The arms of flyght). Having a shaped handle with a small molded heart. Two flowers on a plane body with top edge in gold trim. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection. SIZE: 5” h x 4-1/4” dia. CONDITION: Professional repair and small chip to edge of base. Otherwise, very good. 9-72604 (1,500-2,500)
