ANTONIO NICOLO GASPARO JACOBSEN (American, 1850-1921) PILOT BOAT “NEW YORK”. Outstanding oil on canvas ship portrait of the white hulled pilot boat “New York”. It is seen sailing right to left flying American flag off stern and large blue flag off back mast. Six people are seen on deck and it sails through choppy green/blue sea. Off the port bow is seen a two stack ocean liner flying American flag. Signed lower right “A. Jacobsen 1898” with address. Housed in a black painted and gold lined frame with framers label of “The House of Heydenryk, New York”. SIZE: 22” x 36”. CONDITION: Relined, very good.
