ATTRIBUTED TO SEVERIN ROESEN (American, 1815-1872) STILL LIFE OF FRUIT. Outstanding oil on canvas scene shows a grouping of colorful fruit and leaves with red flower. Fruits include plum, cherry, red raspberries, green and purple grapes. A red zinnia type flower is hidden behind green leaves and several insects are seen including beetles, fly, moth and ants. Arrangement is on a marble slab and dew drops glisten on the leaves. Housed in a reproduction gilt frame retaining a Guido Frame Studio label. SIZE: 18″ x 15″.
