ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAM MOORE DAVIS (American, 1829-1920) FISHING OFF MONTAUK. Large oil on canvas nautical scene shows a single mast fishing boat with five men hand lining fish. One man has recent catch in hand and another man is manning the tiller. The sea is choppy and is filled with other boats; big and small. A point of land is seen on the right side with large lighthouse. All under a cloud and blue sky. Unsigned. Housed in a period gilt frame/liner. SIZE: 34″ x 44″.
