SET OF EIGHT FINE ORIENTAL ARMORIAL PLATES. 19th Century plates having central coat of arms with boar’s head above a shield in four sections having boar’s heads and roosters. Below which is a banner “Recte Et Candide”. The white ground plate is painted with auspicious emblems and scholars objects. Late 18th/early 19th Century. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (FW Woolworth Dept. Store). SIZE: 9-3/4” dia. CONDITION: One with rim chip and some light rubbing where plates stack. Otherwise very good. 9-28114 (5000-10000)
