GOVERT VON EMMERIK (Dutch, 1808-1882) COASTAL SEA BATTLE. Oil on canvas scene shows a tall ship in full sail firing upon an oncoming tall ship. Many people aboard. Several rowboats are seen landing ashore. Sails are seen on horizon and a large wharf with figures and buildings are at the bottom of a tall cliff. Signed bottom right.
