EARLY WAL-RIC CARTRIDGE BELT WITH KNIFE SHEATH AND CANNON & KELLER SLIM JIM HOLSTER. Simple 40″ x 2″ cartridge belt with riveted buckle billet containing a small square nickeled iron roller buckle. Belt is marked on tongue end with the Wal-Ric arrowhead shaped cartouche & SACRAMENTO CALIFORNIA”. It has thirty-six sewn-on 44/45 caliber loops & light border decoration. Knife sheath is for about an 8″ slim Bowie blade & it contains a Wade & Butcher Bowie knife too small for sheath. Holster is by Cannon & Keller & has a cartouche on top center “CANNON & KELLER / MAKERS / TAYLOR TX”. It has dbl incised line decoration with large flower blossoms at top. Suede lined with sewn edges & a Cheyenne plug. Belt loop, probably an old replacement, is riveted in place. CONDITION: About good. Belt is dry & crackled with loss of finish. Knife sheath has about 1-1/2″ of open stitches. Knife is sharpened with fine jigged bone scales & holster shows moderate to heavy wear but still completely sound. 4-57617 JR561 (1,500-2,500)
