AMES STAFF AND FIELD OFFICER’S SWORD. 28” single fuller blade marked with 3-line Ames logo on left ricasso “US / CSL / 1864” on the right. The leather scabbard has brass throat and drag. “JH” inspector mark on the guard and “T.K.L” on the drag. CONDITION: Bright blade with a few shallow nicks in the edge and some widely scattered spots of surface rust. The brass has a mellow patina. Leather has been resewn at the throat and has light chips missing elsewhere but is still solid. 4-49632 FS144 (200-400)
