LOT OF TWO ALLEN & WHEELOCK CENTER HAMMER LIPFIRE NAVY REVOLVERS. (1) Cal. 36 Lipfire. SN 35. One of only about 500 made in the early 1860’s, it has 5″ oct bbl, all iron construction with 2-pc walnut grips, still in orig lipfire. CONDITION: Good. All matching. Traces of orig finish remain on the bbl, otherwise mostly a silver metal color with fine surface rust. Mechanics are fine, strong bore with light pitting in the grooves. (2) Cal. 38 RF. SN 62. Nickel finish rimfire conversion with lipfire slots remaining. Conversion was done before the after market nickel-plating. It has 6″ oct bbl with brass front sight and 2-pc walnut grips with a Lanyard loop in the butt. CONDITION: Good, as refinished. All matching. Worn grips. Will not hold on full cock.
