WILLIAM HENRY GALE (American, 1915-) “THE BATHER”. Oil on wood panel shows a nude woman with a pink sheer scarf. She stands in a woodland stream with green tree/woods background. Signed on reverse and inscribed “The Bather W. Gale Superb Elegant Specimen of the Master”. Also on the frame is a Walter Klinkhoff Gallery, Montreal label with title and artist. Housed in a fine gesso decorated partial gilt fancy frame with white wood liner. SIZE: 6-1/2” x 4”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-72914 (1,500-2,000)
