FINE GRAIN PAINTED BLANKET CHEST. All original with mustard outlined panels with simulated mahogany graining. Six board chest with hinged top having original lock. Interior fitted at one end with lidded till and eight drawers having small turned knob with grain painted fronts. Chest supported by four short turned feet. PROVENANCE: Plum Homestead Auction near Mt. Morris, IL. The family having come from Hagerstown, MD area and moved to Mt. Morris in 1848. Receipt from Vyes’ Antiques, Mt. Morris, IL, 6/14/92. SIZE: 21-3/4” h x 41-1/2” x 20-1/2” top size. CONDITION: Very good. Some stains to top. 8-76070 (1,000-2,000)
