MODEL 1840 ENLISTED CAVALRY SABER. Blade marked “AMES MFG. CO CHICOPEE MASS/US/JH/1857”. Blade has areas of original polish. The cutting edge has been resharpened. Complete with scabbard. CONDITION: Grip is excellent, all leather and wire with some original shine to the leather. Hilt is uncleaned with original washer. Scabbard has scattered staining and areas of light pitting. 4-49708 JS31 (800-1,000)
