OUTSTANDING RELIEF DECORATED 14K GOLD MATCH SAFE. The hinged lid opens to an oval interior area. The rim marked “14K.B 197”. No maker’s mark. Both sides having the same decoration surrounding an oval inscription area, one is blank and the other has triple initial monogram “HAF”. The decoration shows a griffin bird on a branch coiled with a large snake having branches, C-scrolls & decorative elements. The bottom with a match strike area. WEIGHT: 26 gr. (.83 tr. oz). SIZE: 2-1/2″ x 1-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-22386 (1,250-1,750)
