HEAVY PERCUSSION TARGET RIFLE. CAL. 50. 27” octagonal bbl, 1-1/2” across the flat. Complete with false muzzle and bullet starter. Unmarked but definitely a Vermont/New Hampshire rifle from the Windsor area. Single set trigger. Long cantilever rear sight with double adjustment for elevation. The plunger on the bullet starter appears to be missing the top knob. CONDITION: Fine plus with 80% thinning brown on the bbl and rear sight. Bright casehardening colors on the lockplate and breech plug. Stock retains most of its original varnish but has some scratches and dents. 4-52939 FS142 (1,500-3,000)
