FREDERICK JOHN MULHAUPT (American, 1871-1938) “GUINEYBOATS GLOUCESTER, MASS”. Outstanding oil on board Gloucester Harbor scene shows several blue hulled sailboats moored side by side at a wharf with figures and buildings. The background has a large two-mast sailing ship next to red and gray buildings under a blue and cloud sky. Signed lower left which is smudged. Housed in a gilt leaf decorated wood frame, which may be original. Back has title in black grease pencil. SIZE: 8” x 10”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-29783 (8,000-12,000)
