ENGRAVED REMINGTON MODEL 1890 SGL ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 1161. Nickel finish with 7-1/2″ bbl and 2-pc ivory grips and a lanyard ring in the butt. Revolver has about 85% coverage, including the cylinder of very well executed foliate arabesque patterns with a stippled background. CONDITION: Fine. Overall retains about all of its custom nickel finish with some freckling on the bbl. Grips are a deep golden aged yellow with numerous age lines around the bottom edges and the right side is missing a tiny chip out of the bottom. They have shrunk and are slightly undersized. Hammer will not hold in the safety notch, otherwise mechanics are fine. Strong bore with moderate pitting. 4-56482 JR546 (3,500-5,500)
