*BROWNING SAFARI GRADE BOLT ACTION RIFLE. SN 9079Z8. Cal. 243. 22″ stepped & tapered round bbl made without sights. Left side is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY”. Right side “CALIBER .243 ONLY/MADE IN FINLAND”. Right side of bbl over chamber and adjacent right side of receiver have matching serial numbers. About 4″ from receiver bbl is factory drilled & tapped for scope mounts with filler screws. The Sako receiver has round top and is factory drilled & tapped for scope bases with gold filler screws. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, wrap around checkered forend with blank diamond in center, checkered pistol grip, Monte Carlo with left side cheek piece, Browning hard rubber buttplate, sling swivels equipped with adjustable Browning marked leather sling. PROVENANCE: Dr. Charles Bradley, Lubbock, TX. CONDITION: Extremely fine, retaining most of its original factory finish, a couple light handling marks in blue on bbl. Faint rub marks on top of receiver from scope base, some minor crazing in wood finish with a couple minor handling marks. Mechanics are crisp with a very nice bore. 9-21207 (750-1,550)
