LARGE KPM SIGNED PLAQUE. 19th century. This large example of a young girl in a pink dress with shawl and basket walking with dog on a windswept hillside. Signed illegibly lower right with the date 1836. The plaque is stamped on the reverse “K.P.M.” above a small “h” above the numerals “320-265”. SIZE: Plaque: 12 1/2″ x 10 1/4″ CONDITION: Appears to have some overpainted highlights such as neckline of girl’s dress and “ribbons” beaneath girl’s ears, blades of grass to left of dog’s forepaw and fur on neck/shoulder juncture of dog. Otherwise the plaque appears to be in very good condition. Frame with damaged areas of gesso. 9-97504 (5,000-8,000)
