PAIR OF AESTHETIC MOVEMENT GORHAM COPPER AND SILVER OVERLAY BOWLS. Third quarter 19th cent. Each marked with anchor and “GORHAM CO.50N”. Each cylindrical vase with ruffled edge. One with a flowering plant opposing a swallow, the second overlaid with a sprig of strawberries and a grasshopper. SIZE: 3-1/2″ h.; 4″ diameter. CONDITION: Both with good older patina and very minor and slight surface scratching, the strawberry example with shallow creased dent below fruit. Very good overall. 9-96628 (1,000-1,500)
