*WINCHESTER MODEL 71 DELUXE LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 348. SN 32938. Later style rifle with short tang & coarse checkering with serrated hammer spur. It has a 24″ tapered rnd bbl with ramp front sight, missing its hood, and standard open rear sight missing the elevator. It has 2/3 magazine and nicely figured American walnut wood with checkered semi-beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. Forend cap & buttstock have dlx swivel bases. Receiver is factory drilled & tapped for receiver sight. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl, magazine tube & forend cap retain about 95-97% strong bright orig blue. Receiver retains about 75% orig blue, strong on the sides, worn on the bottom & thin on the top. Wood is sound with usual light handling & use marks, a gouge at the buttstock, moderate to heavy wear on the checkering & retains 75-80% varnish on the buttstock & 60% on the forearm.
