*WINCHESTER DELUXE MODEL 71 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 348. SN 3746. First type with 24″ tapered rnd bbl, ramp front sight & open rear sight. It has half magazine & American walnut wood with checkered semi-beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. Forend cap & buttstock have deluxe sling swivel bases. Configuration is the early type with fine checkering & long tang. Left side of receiver has five extra holes apparently for a side mount scope base. CONDITION: Receiver, as mentioned otherwise all orig with the metal retaining about 90% orig blue with a spot or two of rust. Sight hood is missing. Wood is sound with nicks, dings & scratches and some light bruises with checkering showing moderate to heavy wear. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore.
