*WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LIGHTWEIGHT LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. SN 133390. Standard grade rifle with 22″, lightweight, tapered rnd bbl, half magazine, replacement pedestal mounted front sight with slot blank in the rear seat & a Williams receiver sight. Wood is nicely figured American walnut, uncheckered, with straight stock & Winchester hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Entire rifle, including the wood, has a heavy coating of old dried oil. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl retains 75-80% blue with some areas of pitting toward the muzzle & light cleaning & touchup in that area. Receiver retains about 40% orig blue mixed with brown patina and some spots of light pitting on both sides. Wood is sound, showing moderate to heavy wear with some dark oil staining on the forearm & stock and retains a smooth patina with a few scratches & dings.
