*SCARCE POLICE MARKED SMITH & WESSON PPRE-WAR 44 HAND EJECTOR, 3RD MODEL OFO 1926 DA REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Spcl. SN 38898. Blue finish with 5″ bbl with integral half-moon front sight, fixed rear sight with silver medallion diamond checkered magna grips that have the number “108306” inside the right grip. Left side of the grip frame has factory refinish markings dated “3/65” and has the orig serial number also stamped in that area. Backstrap is stamped “P.P.D. 31” for the Providence, Rhode Island Police Department. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Retains virtually all of its fine factory restored finish. Grips are slightly oversized & show light to moderate wear. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore. 4-57453 JR783 (800-1,500)
