UNUSUAL ITHACA “SKELETON” CLOCK UNDER DOME. The double dial perpetual calendar clock with a signed Ithaca E.N. Welch upper movement, patented August 30, 1870. Mounted on a bridge from which is suspended a glass & crystal pendulum marked “ICCO”. Lower calendar mechanism with black day, month rolls of the period. All mounted on an oval base in which is fitted a glass dome. This model never went into production and is not found in any publications that we are aware of. SIZE: 25-1/2″ h (including dome) x 13-3/4″ w x 7-3/4″ d. PROVENANCE: Ex-Alfred Scott Collection, 1970; Ex-Maynard Bell Collection, 1975; Ex-George Snow Collection; Ex Jowell Bernick Collection to current owner. Dr. Charles Bradley, Lubbock, TX.
