RARE COLT EMPLOYEE PRESENTATION POCKET WATCH. Scarce Elgin M.D. Ogden 17 jewel key wind, key set 16-size pocket watch in a silver Waltham hunter case. Inside cover in the back is inscribed in period script engraving “Presented / to / Daniel Bowdoin / by his fellow workmen / at Colt Armory / January 15, 1864”. Case covers are very nicely engine-turned with raised center medallions. Face is a sgl, sunk dial with Roman numerals. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Case shows moderate wear, the face is without cracks and the balance staff appears good & functional. Would probably run fine if we had a key. 4-55273 (4,500-5,500)
