WELCH #3 MANTEL CALENDAR CLOCK. Fourth quarter of the 19th Century. With rosewood case. The upper dial with Roman Numeral chapter ring centering the days of the week. The lower dial with calendar chapter ring centering the months of the year. Flanked by engaged gilt half columns. Raised on a concave stepped and molded plinth. Weight driven. Pendulum & weights present, no key. SIZE: 30″ h x 18″ w x 6-1/4″ d. PROVENANCE: Dr. Charles Bradley, Lubbock, TX. CONDITION: Original finish to the case, upper dial showing wear. Probably replaced pendulum, recolored columns, and with slight veneer loss. Lacking label on original backboard. 9-21073 (1,200-1,600)
