LARGE ORIENTAL CARVED TEAK TABOURET WITH ROSE MARBLE INSERT. Second half 19th century. Circular top with undulating beaded edge carved with scrolling vinery centering a rose marble insert, above the pierced and foliate carved apron, raised on angular legs carved with stylized foo dogs and scrolling vinery terminating in ball and claw feet, the legs joined by a medial shelf. SIZE: 31-1/2″ h x 26-1/2″ d overall, 23″ d top. CONDITION: Retains original surfaces, marble intact, top table edge with small shrinkage crack, and shelf with shrinkage cracks in need of reattaching.
