*RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION MUSKET.

*RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION MUSKET. Cal. 25-20. SN 460620. Standard musket in a rare caliber with 30″ rnd bbl, full magazine, modified square base front sight/bayonet lug with modified blade. It has a 900-yard musket rear sight. It is mounted with nicely figured uncheckered American walnut with full-length forearm, three bbl bands & straight stock with carbine/musket buttplate. It is fitted with close couple dbl set triggers. Buttstock & middle band have sling loops. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl retains 70-75% strong orig blue with some chemical staining around the muzzle and on the magazine tube. On top ofo the bbl, behind the lower band, is a filled non-factory dovetail. Blue around the rear sight is turning plum. Receiver retains about 90% dull orig blue and the lever traces of case color. Hammer retains 85-90% dark case colors. Wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches and a small gouge on the buttstock & retains most of its orig oil finish. Mechanics are crisp, strong bore, dark in the grooves. 4-56464 JR503 (8,000-12,000)
