BROWN UNDERHAMMER RIFLE.

BROWN UNDERHAMMER RIFLE. CAL. 32. 16-3/4” part octagonal bbl with false muzzle. The front sight is replaced and one of the pins on the false muzzle is broken off inside the gun. Marked “J . BROWN. / FREMONT. N.H. / CAST STEEL” on the left quarter flat. The address is double struck. The center sight on the bbl is missing. The corners of the octagon portion have been flattened at the joint, giving a 16-sided appearance. CONDITION: Rust/brown patina overall. Wood retains much varnish but has a repair above the hammer, which has caused some loss of finish. There is another crack starting at the buttplate. Action is good. 4-52794 FS184 (800-1,200)
