SMALL HILLIARD BUGGY RIFLE. Cal. 32. SN: 239. 15-3/4” part octagonal bbl, marked “D.H. HILLIARD / CORNISH / N.H. / CAST-STEEL”. The rear sight is missing. The joint between the octagonal and round portions of the bbl have been filed, giving a 16-sided area. Marked “2- -3 1/2” on the bottom of the bbl. There are several German silver inlays on the side of the stock. CONDITION: Dark blue/brown patina on iron surfaces, mellow patina on the brass. Some light dents and scratches in the wood.
