COLT MODEL 1851 NAVY REVOLVER. Cal .36 Perc. Usual configuration, 7-1/2” oct bbl with one line New York address and cone brass front sight. It has silver plated trigger guard and backstrap with 1-pc walnut grips. SN 210657. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching except the wedge which is unnumbered and operating handle which is numbered “40”. Bbl retains 80-85% original finish, strong and glossy blue in the sheltered areas. The operating handle and rammer retain most of the original case colors turning silver on the round part of the handle. The frame retains 93-95% strong bright original case colors and the hammer about 60% strong case colors . Cylinder retains 10-15% thin original blue with the balance a light patina with some scattered light surface rust. It retains about 90% original naval battle scene. The six safety pins are intact. Trigger guard retains about 95% strong original silver plating and the backstrap 97-99% silver plating. Grips are sound with light edge wear, a couple of bruises on the left side and usual handling and use marks. Bright shiny bore with one or two spots of pitting.
