COLT HARTFORD ENGLISH DRAGOON REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Perc. Great 3rd Model Dragoon, one of only about 750 made, with 7-1/2” oct to round bbl, originally blue and case colored with silver-plated round trigger guard and grip frame and varnished 1-pc walnut grips. It has British proofs on the breech end of the cylinder between each nipple and on the left side of bbl lug. SN 244. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Traces of original finish remain around the wedge with good strong colors on the rammer pivot, the balance is a mottled silver/brown patina. The trigger guard and backstrap retain traces of silver plating otherwise they are a light mustard patina. The cylinder retains 60-70% thin scene and the grips about 60% original strong varnish. The bore is strong and bright with scattered pitting. Mechanics are fine. 4-49142 (11,000-13,000)
