WRIGHT BUGGY PISTOL. CAL. 36. 20” oct bbl marked “A. C. WRIGHT / FITCHBURG / MASS / CAST – STEEL”. This is equipped with a leather covered iron stock held to the butt with a large turn screw and two pins. Arthur Wright worked in Fitchburg from 1856 to 1896 before moving to Worchester, where he died in 1908. He held a number of patents for various types of guns. CONDITION: Strong traces of blue on the bbl mixed with light surface rust. Frame, grip and triggerguard are mostly a dark brown patina. About 1/3 of the leather covering is missing from the stock.
