ALTERED SPENCER CARBINE. Cal .50CF. 19-3/4” round bbl. The breech block has been altered to center fire and the Spencer patent cutoff device with a pivoting top has been added. SN 25311. CONDITION: Smooth gray patina overall with traces of casehardening colors on the action and blue on replace screws. Receiver is cracked on the right side. Wood is generally good but there are three nail holes in the bottom of the forearm and some dents and scratches on the butt. The front sight is a welded replacement.
