One large page folio on velum. Pennsylvania, June 12, 1786. Has intact Seal of the State of Pennsylvania affixed with red wax in the upper left hand corner. The document issued by the Supreme Executive Council of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Grants “A Certain tract of land called ‘Middleton”’. To William Ball. Boldly signed “B Franklin” in the left center margin. Housed in a fine gesso decorated gilt frame with burgundy fabric matte having two cut windows, one for the suspended document, the other for an engraving of Franklin.
