HILLIARD BUGGY PISTOL. Cal. 36. SN: 2309. 12-1/2″ rnd bbl. The Hilliard marking is almost entirely gone and only the front letters are visible. The attachment system for the shoulder stock is somewhat different than that usually found. An iron strap passes around the pistol grip with a block on the bottom for the forged iron stock. An 1868 2-cent piece has been inlayed on the right side of the grip. CONDITION: Gray/brown patina overall with spots of pitting and surface rust. Grip has been broken at the top. Ramrod pipes have been resoldered. Action is good. 4-52706 FS228 (2,000-3,000)
