SPRINGFIELD/SPENCER CONVERSION RIFLE. Cal .50. 32-5/8” round bbl. This Model 1865 Spencer carbine action was converted to rifle configuration with the added Stabler cutoff at Springfield. The original Spencer inspector cartouche is not readable. SN 25379. CONDITION: Rust brown patina on bbl, light spotty pitting on the action. The replacement hammer and buttplate both show considerable casehardening color. Wood has many dents and scratches and has a wax coating. Action is fine. 4-49652 FS140 (2,000-3,000)
