SOMERS UNDERHAMMER RIFLE WITH TELESCOPE. Cal. 36. 26” octagonal bbl, marked “H. SOMERS / PASSUMPSIC / VT”. Two different H. Somers, Harvey and Hugh, worked in Barnett, Vermont, but we don’t know which, if either, this one might be. The 30-1/4” brass telescope is unmarked. A screw is missing in the bottom of the telescope and the optics will not focus. CONDITION: Generally fine with little wear. Triggerguard has been bent but there are no dents in the wood or the scope. Wood retains most of its original varnish. Action is fine. 4-52606 FS49 (1,000-1,500)
