These chairs are actually signed “Ruth Hicks”, not Hitchcock. Title should read “FINE MATCHED SET OF SIX EAGLE BACK SHERATON FANCY CHAIRS”

FINE MATCHED SET OF SIX EAGLE BACK ANTIQUE HITCHCOCK CHAIRS. Chairs having a turned and “pillow back” crest, carved and stenciled eagle horizontal splat, rush seats. Nicely turned legs with turned stretcher. Nice original finish with each chair signed on reverse of seat rail “Hitchcock”. SIZE: 35″ h; 18″ seat h x 14-1/2″ seat d. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Joan B. Hanson, Fair Haven, N.J. CONDITION: Generally very good with three chairs having finish losses to top crest rail. 9-95891 (600-900)
