REYNOLDS BEAL (American, 1867-1951) JUMBO AND THE CIRCUS. Mixed media circus scene shows two elephants with a variety of circus performers and ring master. Jumbo stands in front of his large poster and the background has two large tents, one flying the American flag. Pencil signed bottom left and dated “1936”. Housed in a wonderful carved and gilt double frame with glass and tan matte. SIZE: Sight: 14-1/4″ x 18″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-91594 (4,000-6,000)
