The rectangular box with canted corners polychrome gilt decorated overall with various landscape scenes within ornately scrolling borders of vinery, precious objects and gilt flowerheads. The hinged lid opening to an interior fitted with a compartmented tray with chinoiserie decorated lids and carved ivory sewing accessories to include spools, darning needles and pin cushions. Frieze fitted with a single drawer centering a tilting chinoiserie gilt work surface. The whole raised on claw feet surmounted by bat wings. SIZE: 14″ w x 10″ d x 6-1/4″ h.
