RARE TRAVELING DECANTER BOX WITH EIGHT GLASS DECANTERS. Painted green hinged top box has original lock with key, blue flower original wallpaper interior with red cloth trim. Side swing handles and metal bound edges. The interior fitted for six large decanters and six small decanters with a removable dovetailed tray which held two glasses and two stems with stopper. Five large decanters are present which are of clear glass, hand blown and have matching tulip etched decoration. Three small decanters are present in similar design and form. A note in interior indicates that this was the property of Captain Rubin Blanchard. SIZE: Bottles are approximately 8-1/2” h and 5-1/2” h. Box IS 10” h x 15” w x 10-1/2” d. CONDITION: One bottle with rim chip, otherwise very good. 9-29778 (800-1,200)
