ASSOCIATED PAIR OF CHINESE EXPORT ROSE MEDALLION SMALL TUREENS. Second half 20th century. Each oval bulbous tureen fitted with lid and lotus blossom finial, the base with applied strap handles on a conforming foot rim. Profusely decorated with birds, butterflies, flowers, and panels of domestic scenes. SIZE: Each 6″ h. x 8″ l. PROVENANCE: From a private Pennsylvania collection. CONDITION: Both appear to be in very good condition, one with slightly more wear to gilt decoration. 9-92643-2 (300-500)
