TWO PERSIAN POTTERY ITEMS. 19th Century. The first, a primitive horse modeled in a prancing pose with full trappings. The second glazed example of an indigo urn applied with handles at the throat, decorated overall in black simulating wall hangings. The interior also in a blue glaze. SIZE: Horse: 6-1/4″ h x 6-3/4″ l. Urn: 5-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine Islesboro, Maine home. CONDITION: The horse with craquelure. The vase with craquelure and with crack and tight hairlines around rim; otherwise good. 9-23872 (200-400)
