RARE VOLCANIC NAVY PISTOL. Cal. 41. SN 385. Made by The Volcanic Repeating Arms Co., this pistol has 8″ oct bbl with integral magazine tube, silver cone post front sight & fixed rear sight with 2-pc walnut grips. Right grip has a large spliced piece from period of use. Serial number appears on bottom left side of frame under grip, inside each grip, inside each side-plate & on all internal parts. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains about 90% strong dark orig blue with three or four spots of pitted rust on right side of bbl & magazine tube. Left side of bbl & magazine tube have a series of small nicks in surface. Receiver has sharp clean edges & a wonderful coffee colored patina. Right side of grip frame & two areas on frame itself have casting flaws. Left grip has a repaired crack & both grips have chipped edges with nicks & dings and retain most of their fine varnish finish. Carrier retains generous amounts of orig niter blue. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore. 4-57491 JR233 (12,500-22,500)
