FEDERAL TIGER MAPLE TAVERN TABLE. Last quarter 19th century. Possibly eastern Connecticut. The rectangular two-board top with rounded front corners above the conforming frieze fitted with a single drawer, raised on square tapered legs joined by a chestnut H-form molded stretcher of mortise and tenon construction. SIZE: 27″ h x 32″ w x 21-1/4″ d. CONDITION: With old cleaned surfaces and with remnants of early cream paint. The top with an old shrinkage crack proper right front corner. Drawer original with rose head nails throughout. Wood knob a later replacement, drawer front with old losses. Otherwise very good. 9-22472 (700-900)
