ANTIQUE TEXTURED HAMADAN CARPET, WEST PERSIA. Last quarter 19th century. Poled central cinnabar diamond medallion centering a spray of lotus blossoms within an open camel field, densely populated with geometric pale floral filled latticework within cinnabar spandrels. Main border with row of indigo and beige lozenges interspersed with flower heads. SIZE: 8′ 2″ x 10′ 11″. PROVENANCE: From a New England Institution. CONDITION: With wear throughout and with wear at one end of central medallion to foundation. Overall fair with losses to end fringe. 9-22388 (2,000-3,000)
